It can be said that the first step in rebuilding anything is to tear down the original. If you’ve never been in the military, that’s the idea they bring to boot camp. They break your will to build you back up with the right set of skills and disciplines to function in the larger military machine.

This is the man behind 30 Days of Discipline. So who is Victor Pride? I was curious about that, too. “Victor” is the man behind a website he calls “Bold and Determined”. As sort of a counterpoint to feminism, his site is written for men. Specifically, men who want to take charge of their lives and excel at achieving success in whatever they choose to do.
Victor Pride is a macho guy, you might say, who’s into bodybuilding, business, and getting what he wants. But he is also concerned with the male role in modern society.
In short, he’s in many ways a motivational speaker for a man’s right to be a man. His is an appealing story because he’s undergone the whole transformation himself, from skinny and underpaid to brawny and pursuing his dreams. The hard work and results he found in working out set his mind to applying the same disciplines to all his pursuits in life.
So I decided to take a good look at Victor’s book, and what I discovered is summed up in this 30 Days of Discipline review.
I saw that, at the end of the 30 days, you should feel you’ve gained a few things. For one, pride in taking on the challenge and following through on it. Of course, you need to have some goal, some purpose, on which to focus your new discipline. If you’ve completed 30 Days of Discipline with no goals defined for yourself, it’s little more than an exercise. Victor Pride and his eBook has the goal of changing your life.
This eBook has you practice 12 different habits, because scheduling various tasks around your personal life and other interests is vital to your success. It’s not about becoming a robot or a workaholic. In fact, you’re even allowed a day of rest.

The Hard Part
Sticking with it for 30 days is harder than you might think, especially if your self-discipline is not good to start with. If you’re looking for a quick fix, try a hypnotist. If there’s one thing you should get out of this 30 Days of Discipline review, it’s that the program outlined here takes real effort, and Victor Pride doesn’t sugar-coat it.
Learning self discipline is about forcing yourself to do things you don’t want to do. Getting by in real life is not about taking your time and being comfortable. Things like taking a cold shower every day seem like torture. The whole experience could be difficult, even lonely. It can be hard to explain to your family and friends. But you’re in boot camp now. If you can tough out the first two weeks, 30 days isn’t much of a sacrifice for what you stand to gain.

Exhausting yourself or spending months in seclusion is probably not the optimal outcome.
But the tools are there. For instance, one of the book’s recommendations is to keep a notebook handy for recording your thoughts. It’s not an original idea, but very few people do it.
